This includes personally identifiable information (PII), tax documents, service communications, and bank account information provided for authorized ACH payments. Where Plaid is used, it also includes Plaid-generated identifiers/tokens and related verification results.


2.Data Retention
Client data is retained only for as long as necessary to:(i) provide contracted services, (ii) maintain required business records, and (iii) satisfy applicable legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Tax and accounting records: retained for the period required by applicable law and professional standards (typically multiple years).

ACH payment and banking information: retained only as needed to process authorized transactions, handle returns/charge disputes, perform reconciliation, and meet compliance requirements; access is limited to authorized personnel.

Plaid-related data: QuickBooks ProAdvisor does not store bank login credentials. Plaid connection tokens/identifiers and verification results (if stored) are retained only as long as necessary to support the authorized payment relationship, fraud/return risk controls, audits, and dispute handling.

3.Data Deletion and Disposal
Upon account closure or a verified request (where legally permissible), data is deleted, deactivated, or securely archived unless retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

Digital data is securely deleted using industry-standard methods or rendered unreadable.
Data stored with service providers is deleted or deactivated in accordance with vendor retention and deletion capabilities.
Access to retained/archived data remains restricted to authorized personnel only under least-privilege controls.
